XPNotes is a free tasks, goals and notes app with a turn-based RPG: your hero only grows with the real quests you complete. The answers below cover the rest.
Is XPNotes free?
Yes. The free plan has the whole game: classes, hunts, bosses, Journey and party. The Epic plan only changes tools and limits, like the number of notes.
Where does my hero's progress come from?
From the real quests you complete. Every quest is worth XP, and each of your first 5 of the day gives a hunt.
Can I grind without doing quests?
No. There are no free hunts: the game only moves when your life does.
What if I create a pile of easy quests?
Daily XP drops after 15 quests (to half) and after 25 (to a quarter), and only your first 5 give hunts. The app rewards consistency, not volume.
Is it a game or a productivity app?
Both. You organize tasks, goals and notes like in any app of the kind; the game turns what you did into XP, hunts and bosses.
What happens to my data?
You can download all your data or delete your account whenever you want, right in Settings. We don't sell data and there are no ads. Details in the Privacy policy.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in your phone's browser, and you can install it as an app on your home screen. There's no app-store app yet.
Does it work offline?
XPNotes needs an internet connection. If your connection drops for a moment, what you did is kept and sent once it's back.
Do I have to play with other people?
No. Every class can win solo; the party, with up to 4 friends, is optional and gives a little more.
Is there two-step verification?
Yes. In Settings → Privacy you can turn on a second code, generated by an authenticator app, to log in.
Which languages does it support?
English, Portuguese and Spanish, in the app and on the site. You can switch at any time.
Who can use it?
People aged 18 or over. Sign-up asks you to confirm it.
How much does the Epic plan cost?
US$ 4.99 a month or US$ 39.99 a year. It only changes tools and limits; the game stays the same for everyone. See the pricing page.
